Covid 19 turned into first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. By March 1, 2020, the sickness had infected 67 countries and the World Health Organization announced the outbreak of the sickness worldwide. According to international statistics, a mortality rate of 4.3% was recorded for this disease, and researchers from distinct nations started their studies to discover a therapy or control way of Covid 19.

Cough, tiredness and weakness, headache, muscle pain, sore throat, fever, loss of the sense of taste and smell are the most common symptoms of Covid-19 disease. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause infectious diseases such as SARS, Mers, and Covid-19. The incubation period in these diseases is the time between the virus entering the body and the appearance of clinical symptoms of the disease.

Analysis of data from China shows that people with the coronavirus show symptoms for one to 14 days after exposure to the pathogen. According to these data, 50% of people showed symptoms within 5 days of exposure to the virus. Some other sources give a possible latency of 0 to 27 days. The World Health Organization has set a latency period of 2 to 10 days, the China National Health Commission 10 to 14 days, and the US Centers for Disease Control 2 to 14 days.

Changes and strains of Covid-19

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the various types of coronaviruses identified in December 1, 2021 are as follows:

• Concerned strains (VOC): Omicron and Delta
• Supervised strains (VOM): Alpha, Beta, Eta, Gamma, Utah and Lambda

Omicron

Omicron, a new strain of the corona virus, was first identified in the south Africa a few weeks ago without any data on its symptoms or risks. Now, however, preliminary data on the corona mutant species, which helps to better understanding of the symptoms and their effects, are gradually being released.
The South African Medical Research Council on Saturday released the results of a study showing that the omicron strain is likely to cause milder symptoms of Covid 19 disease than its predecessors.
Anthony Fauci, meanwhile, added that the omicron strain is “clearly very contagious.” The World Health Organization has also warned that the omicron strain of the coronavirus is likely to become more prevalent and that the risk of an epidemic is “very high” worldwide.
